Top 5 Breakfast Spots on Oak Island
Up and at ‘em! Good morning Oak Island! Time for a fabulous breakfast to set you up for the day. Oak Island has TONS of breakfast joints ready to serve you. Whatever you crave, you’ll find it on the island. The Oak Island breakfast scene is a culinary mix of classic diner staples and creative cuisines. There are so many more breakfast places than the ones listed below, but these are for sure my favorites. Most of the coffee shops in my other articles have some kind of breakfast pastries or sandwiches, but these places are my absolute favorites! Enjoy any of these amazing places before you start your day on the sand!
1. The Break: This is my favorite breakfast and lunch spot on the island. Serving up diner-style classics every morning and afternoon. In the summertime, be sure to get here early to beat the rush.

2. Fixins: Elevate your breakfast/brunch experience at Fixins where you’ll be met with a menu that is serving up the classics with a unique and modern flare. This is also a very popular spot, so be sure to get here early in the summertime. I typically get here late morning to enjoy an early lunch, after the crowds have made their way to the beach.

3. Old Bridge Diner: Looking for a true classic diner-food experience? Old Bridge Diner has you covered. Next to Doodles gas station, this long-time favorite is dishing up the budget-friendly classics we all know and love. There’s almost always a line, but it goes quick. Both the food and service are excellent – you won’t be disappointed.

4. Island Jo: This spot also made the top 5 coffee list and for good reason – it’s a perfect one-stop shop if you’re on the go, or looking for a quick meal before heading to the beach. Serving breakfast, lunch, and tons of coffee options.

5. OKI Scoop Shop and Donuts. Looking for a sweet treat to start your day? This place has you covered – even if you want ice cream for breakfast! The donuts are equally as fun with options like the Chocolate Pretzel, Lemonade, French Toast, or Tootie Fruity – there’s something to hit everyone’s spot. Pair it with a fresh cup of coffee for the ultimate start to the day.
